Processor Positions Available!

Goodwill Central Coast has multiple full time and part time openings for warehouse Processors at our Santa Cruz processing plant.

Please note: This position is currently in Santa Cruz but will relocate to Salinas by July 2017.

Entry-level position; will be cross-trained over two departments. Duties will include packing, pricing, & grading glass, ceramic, and other household items items in the Wares department, and processing textile/clothing items in the Ready-to-Wear department. Requires weekend work. Requires ability to consistently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. High school diploma and/or previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.

FULL DUTIES

• Sort and grade textile/clothing items by separating into predetermined classifications (e.g., men’s, women’s, children’s, and other textiles) and into quality level (retail store grade, Outlet grade, or salvage) and sort and grade household wares.
• Hang men’s, women’s and children’s clothing meeting quality standards.
• Price items meeting quality standards by grouping textiles and wares by value.
• Tag items meeting quality standards by affixing appropriate tags or labels to a group of priced items.
• Invoice items by recording the number and value of items by shipment unit, e.g., box, rack.
• Work with clients who are assigned for vocational services, as requested.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience necessary; all sequences of the job can be learned through on-the-job training.
• Basic math ability.
• Familiarity with computers (this may be learned on-the-job)
