The Process Engineer I employs six sigma methodologies, on a global scale, to make data driven improvements to processes in order to achieve better quality, increased speed and reduced cost. All work will be supported by data and documented in order to conclusively communicate results and recommendations. The Process Engineer provides IDT with better, more complete information to make decisions.

        • Responsibilities:
          Essential Functions:

          • Create and maintain process and business models
          • Monitors business and manufacturing processes and identifies problems
          • Manages and participates in problem solving projects
          • Investigates manufacturing-related CAPAs
          • Creates and utilizes process flows and layouts
          • Assists to develop, optimize and maintain automated/lean solutions for manufacturing and other business processes
          • Assists in process improvement and optimization
          • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
          • Performs other duties as assigned.

          Qualifications:
          Education:

          • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computers or Engineering related field required
          • Engineering degree preferred

          Professional Experience:

          • Modeling and Discrete Event Simulation experience preferred
          • SAP experience or awareness preferred
          • Previous work experience in a high tech or biotech company preferred
          • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
          • Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar problem solving methodology experience preferred
          • qPCR, NGS and other biological method experience preferred
          • Experience with laboratory automation and analytical methods preferred

          • Ability to act independently.

          • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.

          Physical Requirements:

          Exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10-15 lbs. of force frequently
