Process Engineer

DESCRIPTION

Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, Thailand and India. We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to work at the Hammond facility.

DUTIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for total process optimization at the Hammond manufacturing facility. This will include recommendations regarding machine modifications, statistical analysis of quality test data and the corresponding production/process data, and design of experiments. This position will also work with machine controls, monitoring devices, establishing operating procedures, as well as maintaining quality/process support systems.

Assist with resolution of process and equipment problems.

Supervise successful start-up and implementation of new or modified equipment.

Assist with running plant trials and in the development of new products and processes.

Process optimization in methods and work flow improvement.

Participate and lead various plant improvement teams.

Responsible for customer complaint resolution.

Provide training, as needed, to production teams to ensure safe and efficient operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical

2 to 4 years previous industry experience.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Solid computer skills

Ability to troubleshoot and strong problem solving skills.

Knowledge of extrusion coating, printing and slitting process preferred.

Lean and/or Six Sigma experience or other structured problem solving is desired.

Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
