Position Summary:

The Process Engineer is a key member of our business process improvement team. The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and executing projects in a transaction office environment using Lean principles, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Identifies, analyzes and implements new or existing technology to optimize business processes
  • Responsible for enhancing/developing processes, layout and associated tools
  • Communicate with management and other personnel to develop production and design standards
  • Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop form and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
  • Reporting directly to President/CEO on a weekly basis to update ongoing projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Competencies :

  • Lean Manufacturing experience required
  • Project management skills
  • Training and mentoring experience with ability to manipulate existing and to create own training materials
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to train and coach other from technical expertise
  • Ability to analyze and present data using sound statistics
  • Advanced flow charting and value stream mapping (Visio experience strongly desired)

Qualifications Required:

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years’ work experience

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification strongly desired
  • 5+ years’ experience leading Lean or Six Sigma improvement or design projects preferred
