Problem Solving Court Coordinator

Under the direction and authority of the Problem-Solving Court Judge and Chief Probation Officer, the Coordinator is a supervisory level position which is primarily responsible for a full range of programs and services for problem-solving court participants in the community.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
The Coordinator performs administrative, managerial and supervisory work required in planning, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of services, to include case management, and participant supervision to ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards. Assist in the design, development, implementation and enhancement of problem solving courts in the district. Establish policy and procedures for the problem solving courts in accordance with state statute and Supreme Court rules. Assist in oversight of contracts with treatment providers.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a human services, public administration or education discipline plus experience and training in the delivery of mental health and substance abuse services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of program and policy development specific to mental health and substance use. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing the delivery of mental health and substance abuse services as well as general knowledge of managed care delivery. In-depth knowledge of the screening, referral and clinical assessment of individuals entering problem-solving courts who experience substance abuse, domestic violence, PTSD, TBI, and/or mental health problems.
