Private Capital Advisory – PE Sales Associate

Lazard’s Private Capital Advisory Group is a global team that manages the raising of capital for private equity, private credit and real estate firms and provides liquidity solutions to GPs and LPs, enhancing relationships with financial sponsors and institutional investors globally. The Group is seeking to hire an Associate for its Private Equity fund raising business. This person will be a member of the global Private Equity team, responsible for supporting senior sales team members and marketing to institutional investors within North America. The position is based in Chicago and will require some travel.

Responsibilities:

• Support Senior Sales team members with coverage of institutional investors

• Prospect for and develop new relationships with institutional investors

• Assist Private Equity team with research and outreach for new business opportunities

• Responsibilities also include distributing offering materials, hosting fund managers on road shows, arranging and attending meetings, liaising with institutional investors throughout their diligence process and communicating regularly with the transaction management team

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of private equity / corporate finance experience; private equity marketing, investor relations or LP experience preferred

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Diligent, organized and confident communicator

• Results oriented with a balance of patience and perseverance

• Proactive self-starter with an ability to work collaboratively within a team
