Pricing Strategy Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Drive long term profitable pricing strategies for Adient’s products globally across the product lifecycle to drive value and demand. The key deliverable for this role is to create and implement a strategic pricing and revenue management methodology and tool set. The Pricing methodology should consider market pricing requirements locally to optimize margin and volume and activities by learning, developing and applying econometric modeling. Entrepreneurial passion for driving value is a key requirement in this role. This individual will be a key contributor to developing profitable product roadmaps and lifecycle strategies part of conversations across the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead effort to develop pricing strategies that achieve the best balance between product positioning, value propositions, cost, profit goals, competitive comparison and market price sensitivity.

Assess current state, identify quick hit opportunities with one or two product lines to start, and then prioritize efforts to maximize long term value creation.

Learn and apply key concepts such as value in use, marginal analysis, customer segmentation, product life cycle analysis, etc.

Work with Product Management, Innovation teams and Customer and / or Product Businesses to develop pricing strategies for new product introductions.

Possesses intimate understanding and knowledge of Adient’s key customers, profitability of products, profitability of locations, key market drivers and key cost drivers to better anticipate the impact of new products and pricing strategies at all key product lifecycle phases.

Drive process and organization change through applying tools and activity models that create long term value for Adient.

Review product portfolios and work with Operations, Finance, Product and Customer Businesses to identify the best methods to improve profitability on products throughout the product lifecycle.

Develop a collaborative working environment with respective Product and Customer teams, Product Managers, Innovation and Finance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or other related field of study. MBA highly desired.

Minimum 5 years related work experience: Product Management, Finance, Sales, Pricing, Purchasing Operations, etc. Experience with a top tier Consulting firm is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement pricing models.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Global Tier 1 Automotive supplier industry experience desired, but not required

Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of financial analytics tools
