Pricing Intern

Job Summary:
The Pricing Analyst Intern will be responsible for gathering and analyzing competitive pricing data and reporting the information to key stakeholders.

Manager, Strategic Pricing

Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze competitive pricing for most frequently ordered products
  • Maintain and evolve business rules and documentation for collecting competitive information
  • Monitor, summarize, and analyze daily seller freight discounting and/or product price discounting to uncover revenue and margin leakage opportunities
  • Develop reporting and process to share information with key stakeholders (using Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and IBM Cognos)
  • Provide analysis and proofing support for annual pricing processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, preferably in Math, Accounting or Finance, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables and charts, macros)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed, error-free work
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work 15 hours per week while classes are in session and 40 hours per week during breaks
