Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for preparation, presentation, and negotiation of complex proposals to DOD, commercial, and foreign customers in different forums. Makes recommendations on a wide variety of issues involving pricing. May lead or be a member of various cross-functional teams preparing for complex negotiations

(1) Evaluates material and labor reports

(2) Gathers cost and pricing data and generates proposals/bids.

(3) Performs pricing/cost analysis. Provides proposal/bid recommendation rationale to management groups using varied formats.

(4) Assists in negotiation of contracts.

(5) Assists with training in price analysis area.

(6) Develops process enhancements, metrics.

Basic Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills): Standard for Fairfield Propulsions site

(1) College degree preferred in Accounting or Finance, however, relevant work experience will also be considered.

(2) A minimum of 1 yr in DOD pricing/cost analysis preferred, however, pricing/cost analysis

in the commercial industry will also be considered.

(3) Excellent Excel skills necessary , Computer literate, MS Office and other related software.

(4) Well organized, deadline oriented.

Job Description Summary

Audit, analyze, review, and correct significant variances that result from transactions entered into the software system.

Calculate unit cost of various stock and raw material inventories. Analyze the data to ensure that allocations to the projects are proper and result in reasonable unit costs. Maintain files to support standard unit costs for stock inventory.

Maintain project budget files and reconcile budget costs to sales order values. Monitor costs, and report significant budget variances to management and other responsible persons.

Provide historical cost analysis on projects, as required, for management, contract administration, and the project responsible individuals (PRI’s). Such analyze include, but are not normally covered by the routine unit costing as described in duty item 2.

Explain the OEA Aerospace, Inc. cost system and responsibilities that relate to and affect project costs to new PRI’s. Interface, as required, with all PRI’s to develop solutions to problems which occasionally arise from unique situations, requiring deviations from existing procedures.

Provide support for various financial customer and government audits, e.g. provide detailed “build up” of work in process material, labor, and overhead values for selected projects upon demand.

Other duties may include, but are not limited to, preparing certain monthly cost of sales schedules, preparing monthly journal entries related to the cost system, and aiding in other accounting functions as required.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 /hour
