Position Scope:
The primary focus of the Population Health Business Intelligence Lead is the technical coordination of the design, development and implementation of Epic’s Healthy Planet Business Intelligence toolset. This includes the planning, leadership, and facilitation needed to deliver Hyperspace Radar and Reporting Workbench reporting, as well as Caboodle Data Warehouse model development and analytical reporting solutions.

The Epic Healthy Planet Business Intelligence toolset will be strategically designed to provide the analytics and reporting necessary to support the organization in delivering value-based care.

While directly leading the Healthy Planet Business Intelligence team, this position will partner and collaborate with:

Clinical stakeholders: Physicians, Non-Physician Practitioners, School of Medicine Trainees, Informaticians and Clinical support staff.
Business stakeholders: Executives, Department Directors, Clinic Managers, and Vendors.

Requirements:

Master’s degree and four years work related experience in healthcare information technology.
Minimum of three years experience planning and leading healthcare projects to successful on-time implementations.
Minimum three years paid work experience as a Senior Systems Application Analyst (or equivalent classification) preferably in a medical organization gathering and defining requirements and leading clinical projects.
Working knowledge of the Epic Clarity data warehouse.
Minimum of three years experience developing reports and analyses using a Business Intelligence application such as IBM Cognos or Business Objects.
Minimum of two years experience utilizing Epic Reporting Workbench
Minimum three years data analysis and data profiling experience with respect to identifying and defining source data using SQL or data profiling tools.
Experience with facilitating User meetings and working sessions to identify and document requirements.
Experience creating technical documentation of reports and data models.
Experience with utilizing star schema data stores as the basis for report development.
Experience with facilitating/leading testing/QA efforts on BI projects.
