Platform Applications Engineer

Job Description

The Automated Driving Solutions Division in ADG is seeking a Sr Applications Engineer PAE in our Novi Michigan office to lead a growing team responsible for supporting IA products in applications ranging from assisted driving technologies to self-driving cars. In this role, you will provide technical support into platform development and software engineering teams, support proof of concept reference designs, represent customer technical needs, develop and present technical product training materials, and work with local and remote engineering teams to resolve customers technical questions. This role is a lead position, working with local SMG and other ASD engineers, you will represent the customer engineering team as the local site technical expert, consultant, analyst and program manager. Candidates responsibilities will also include – Directly engaging customers to provide support for Platforms and Platform SW- Replication and debug of customer reported platform issues, onsite and at Intel lab- Development and Presentation of technical information to Customers and Sales- Providing feedback to engineering representing customer needs- Reporting out monthly indicators on customer issues and design status

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Masters Preferred- Minimum 6 years experience in the Automotive Industry, with at least 2 years focus on HW/SW Development for ADAS applications- Understanding of Intel Architecture based platforms, HW and SW- Working knowledge of Linux, or Real Time Operating System development or debug with deeper knowledge in at least one of the following areas – Linux Kernel, Driver Porting, low-level system software, software debug- Demonstrated Leadership Ability, with strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently, with established-track record of meeting objectives- Experience in SW Development, new HW bring up and debug is required Inside this Business Group
