Plant Engineer

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering

• 5 – 10 years applicable Construction Management, Engineering Management Pharmaceutical experience, or Subject Internship experience in these subjects

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional Engineer, or Engineer in Training License preferred

Details:

Provide technical support and/or validation expertise in managing Capital Projects for the Manufacturing, Packaging, Production, and Engineering departments, and in the execution of projects related to Facilities, utilities and new products. This role interacts with Managers at all levels. Position would be responsible for project budget and responsibility .Directs outside contractors, technicians and vendors

• Provide technical support of production for significant equipment problems

• Contribute towards the successful preparation and implementation of both capital equipment projects through project management ,and procuring all Commissioning and Qualification documentation

• Manage responsibilities for the implementation of small process equipment projects

• Improve yields and lower costs of production by identifying and implementing process and utility equipment improvements in support of operational excellence

• Manage the generation of project life cycle documents (i.e. URS, FRS, SDS, Master Validation Plan, Function Testing Protocols, FATs, SATs)

• Manage feasibility and alternative development of order of magnitude cost estimates, description of processes, process flow diagram, location of process, and comparison of pros and cons for the various alternatives

• Request and manage specification and or design of any project related equipment and components

• Review and participate in the design effort of engineered documents and equipment specifications provided by engineering firms and/or vendors

• Conducts equipment tests at vendor facilities to ensure performance meet designed specifications and manage the preparation of any reports

• Participates in the design of and selection of utility equipment and solicits bids for capital project of equipment

• Inspects equipment for quality and adequacy when received

• Adheres to all GSK guidelines and procedures.
