PIO II/Graphic Designer

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Under limited supervision, design agency marketing, public relations and educational materials including but not limited to print or digital ads, brochures, graphics, campaign-oriented pieces, infographics, logos, publications and other promotional materials. Assist with development and coordinating advertising, public relations and educational projects.

Job location is 2200 North 33rd Street.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, public relations, advertising, creative writing or related field. Experience in developing, planning and managing public relations/publicity campaigns, mass media communication activities or public information programs may substitute for the education on a year for year basis.

PREFERRED: Candidates with education in art, graphic design or digital media and professional design experience.

OTHER: Valid driver’s license or able to provide independent authorized transportation. required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of graphic design for print and digital media; experience in creating a variety of printed pieces, including advertisements, point-of-sale, posters, signage and flyers as well as multi-page documents; knowledge of the printing process, design best practices and ability to do graphic design for different types of digital media. Skill in creating visually compelling artwork for promotional and educational purposes; ability to use Adobe Creative Suite products, and basic editing and proofreading skills. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external audiences. Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize projects, work on multiple projects in a team environment and meet deadlines. Outdoor experience a plus.
