PHP Developer

DMI has a full time position at its Stoneville, NC facility for a full-time PHP developer. Candidate must have 2 or more years of PHP development experience. Must be able to collaborate with a team of developers to solve problems and build solutions. The ideal candidate must also be self-motivated and willing to learn new things to fulfill responsibilities. A large part of this job will involve designing and developing modern interfaces that integrate with so-called “legacy” applications and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom CRM application using CGI, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and related frameworks.
• Develop and maintain programs and scripts that integrate with REST and SOAP web services.
• Write SQL queries and design database tables.
• Document applications and modules for end-users and other developers.

Required Skills

• Experience designing, developing, testing and deploying PHP applications in a Unix or Linux environment.
• Strong analytical and coding skills are a must.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
• Knowledgeable of MVC framework technologies such as Zend Framework, Symfony, CodeIgniter or Yii.
• Expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs is required. Previous experience writing RESTful APIs is preferred.
• Experience integrating PHP with MySQL, MariaDB, DB2 or other relational databases.
• Experience designing and developing SQL schemas and tables.
• Willingness to work in a cross-platform environment is a must.

Desired Skills

• Experience writing and debugging complex SQL queries.
• Experience developing WordPress plug-ins.
• Expertise in jQuery UI and Bootstrap.
• Previous experience with the IBM midrange platform.
• Previous experience with Zend Framework 1, 2, or 3 is preferred.
• Experience with Angular or React.JS is desired.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
