Permanent Part-Time Web Designer and Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced web developer to be responsible for coding, modifying and functionality of website projects. You will build mobile websites from a preset design to completion. You would be involved with the graphical aspects of the websites – how the site works and looks. You would also maintain and update existing sites. MUST work out of Jamestown, NC office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation

Apply your expertise to technical coding problems.

Candidate must have a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, web functions and standards.

The position requires ongoing communication with colleagues.

Expertise and hands on experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery and WordPress, E-Commerce.

Grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.

Create websites using current developmental practices

Research new and innovative ways to improve existing processes.

Stay plugged in to emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Mastered usage of HTML, CSS
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
• One year website coding experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Work independently and with a team
• Learn and master diverse web technologies and techniques and meet deadlines
• Ability to edit images
• Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, MS Word, and Excel
• A team player who enjoys working with others to solve problems and share knowledge
