Patient Care Coordinator

We are a busy clinic in West Houston seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). The ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude, provide the utmost in customer service to our patients, and fully respect co-workers.

The PCC’s primary responsibility is to professionally manage the patient process through the maintenance of patient files in our database system, answering telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. The primary goal of the PCC is to provide excellent customer care and a professional atmosphere.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers telephone and arranges appointments for the clinic providers.
  • Directs caller to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, referral source and person called upon.
  • Collects and distributes mail, messages and reports to the accounting office or other members of the staff.
  • Maintains patient files and schedules follow up appointments.
  • Make calls to help generate business.
  • Collecting payment and co-pays
  • Billing patients and third party groups
  • Assisting with marketing efforts, including community outreach
  • Manage inventory
  • Manage and order office supplies
  • Communicating with vendors and manufacturer representatives
  • Perform a variety of additional administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma is required
  • Minimum 3 years office experience
  • Minimum 3 years customer service experience
  • General understanding of insurance, including deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays
  • Ability to understand and explain patient financial responsibilities based on the explanation of benefits provided by the insurance company
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and possess good computer skills
  • Be able to quickly understand and familiarize with new computer software

Compensation: $30,000-$40,000 based on experience, paid leave, and optional healthcare coverage and retirement plan
