Pathology – Laboratory Assistant Clinical

The Pathology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant, Clinical. Incumbent is responsible for the receipt of samples and verification of attached requisitions for matching patient identity, legibility and completeness of required information. Along with timely and accurate processing of test orders using standard protocol. Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures and location of stored specimens for Anatomical Pathology Laboratory area. Performs other duties as assigned.

The minimum requirements are: High school graduate or equivalent. No experience necessary, Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience highly preferred. Minimum 30 word per minute typing. Computer skills required. Flexible schedule. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
