Marketing and Social Media Intern

Description

Visakai, a startup luxury activewear line, is looking to hire a savvy fashion intern focused on marketing and social media. This intern will become a key member of the team and work closely with the Founder/CEO to grow revenue across multiple sales channels. Please note this is an UNPAID internship and we are looking for an individual for the spring semester, summer or can start immediately. The CEO and and COO have combined 25 years of fashion retail experience — great way to learn about the fashion industry and earn a clothing allowance!

Responsibilities

– Create engaging content for our social media channels (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest)

– Utilize social media to build and engage with a community of fans/followers and influencers online

– Brainstorm and outreach to key marketing partners

– Photograph products in an artistic/creative way for social channels

– Research the best ways to increase traffic to our website and target new audiences, influencers, etc.

– Assist CEO/Founder at special events and trunk shows

– Create signage, newsletters, email campaigns, online promotions, etc.

– Help coordinate online marketing and advertising campaigns, pull products for PR opportunities, etc.

– Assist with administrative team needs

Requirements

– Strong passion for fashion and a great sense of style

– Good eye for styling and social media photography

– Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest

– Excellent oral and written communication skills. Very visual-oriented.

– Possess creativity, flexibility, and growth potential. Self-motivated, open-minded, organized, a fast learner, and enthusiastic.

– Photoshop/Sketch graphic design skills and video-related skills a plus, but not required.

– Computer savvy. Must own a laptop she/he can work from.

– Must be enrolled in a degree seeking college program with a background of business or marketing.

– Must have valid US work authorization at the time of the internship

– Commitment: Summer: Flexible: 20 hours a week and Full time 40 Hours a week

– Location: Remote + Weekly meetings in SF
