Part-Time OPS Graphic Designer- FSU Libraries

Design posters, flyers, handouts, digital signage, and other promotional materials for University Libraries’ events and initiatives.

Assist in the creation of social media graphics for multiple channels; participates in brainstorm sessions and weekly meetings to discuss ideas for promotion.

Prepare artwork for print production.

Assist the Libraries’ Administration Office staff by greeting guests and staff and answering office phones.

Assist with photography for events and social media.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of graphic design theories and principles such as typography, page layout, and color theory.

Experience with Mac operating system

Demonstrates advanced skills using Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, creativity, and self-motivation

Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the Marketing & Communications team

Ability to arrive on time and work all scheduled shifts

Ability to learn new software and design skills

Ability to demonstrate time management skills, balance multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines.

Knowledge of basic marketing and branding concepts

Ability to learn general library operations and resources

Preferred

Experience working in a design and/or marketing environment.

University student who is able to dedicate a minimum of 3 semesters to this position.

Anticipated Salary Range

$10.10 per hour

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule

20 hours maximum per week. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
