Part-Time Office/HR Admin

Provide secretarial support for facility, maintain site HR records and coordinate the implementation of corporate human resource policies and procedures at the local facility. Continually work with the corporate human resources team in providing local human resources support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain software tracking of hours worked. Prepare Personnel Action forms for vacation, sick time, etc. Balance and submit payroll and payroll reports.
  • Process new employee, termination and status change paperwork. Maintain personnel files.
  • Conduct new employee orientation, assist in training of employees. Maintain training file documentation as necessary for SOP training.
  • Maintain Safety records including OSHA logs and Safety Committee information.
  • Assist with recruitment activities as needed. Maintain applicant/promotion/transfer logs.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, keeping costs in line with any budgeted amounts.
  • Assist with HR issues including compensation, hours worked, insurance and other benefits, drug screening and vaccination, and employee performance monitoring.
  • Prepare weekly production and maintenance reports as instructed.
  • Answer phones, direct calls to proper personnel and serve as receptionist for customers, tours, and vendors in facilities without a dedicated receptionist.
  • Perform secretarial functions including typing, filing, data entry, and processing mail.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

None

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in an office environment with little or not exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, etc. Limited exposure to production environment, with exposure to excessive heat, moisture, bio-hazardous material and chemicals and noise.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

3 years prior human resources experience and/or education required. High level/employee focused administrative experience may be considered as a substitute. Must be Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Excellent people skills, including communication, listening presenting skills as well as an outgoing personality and polished telephone demeanor.
  • Self starter who can take initiative with little supervision.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, able to maintain accurate records.
  • Able to delegate incoming information, tasks and materials to appropriate personnel.
  • Moderate level of problem solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible in scheduling as required by the business
  • Proofreading skills.
  • Ability to take direction and execute based upon guidance received.
  • Basic analytical skills and detail-orientation.

Job Type: Part-time
