Parks & Rec Marketing/Communications ~ City of Green River

Member Duties : The VISTA member will help develop a plan to connect community members to the vast opportunities afforded by the Parks & Recreation Department in order to improve quality of life and develop economic activity. The VISTA member will enhance communications by creating improved social media efforts, creating a semi-annual brochure, developing effective means to communicate with existing users and participants, communicating safety information to citizens, and designing educational outreach materials to increase public awareness of ways to live more healthy and active lives. Specific duties include: develop & create a plan for social media, create flyers & posters, write press releases, develop radio ads, photograph programs & events for on-going publicity campaign, design a semi-annual brochure, create a toolkit for on-going communication of vital information to participants, and craft interactive promotions.
