POSITION SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer’s main responsibility is to design and produce packaging, both primary and secondary for the brand. The designer reports directly to the Creative Director and works collaboratively with the Associate Director of Creative Services, Marketing and Product Development. This is a very hands-on, quick turn, creative environment. Strong Photoshop and illustrator skills are required for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs primary and secondary packaging
• Collects images for seasonal mood boards
• Sources images/illustrations/and inspiration for future designs
• Creates product renderings in illustrator & Photoshop
• Create print & patterns from scratch as well as from preexisting elements for bags and packaging in illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with repeat patterns design experience a plus.
• Strong typography skills and design aesthetic. Experience with packaging dyelines and preparing artwork for production necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of packaging design experience
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Full demonstrated knowledge of package design and production
• Strong sense of style and creativity
• Ability to effectively communicate creative ideas/concepts to the cross-functional teams
• Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and work with tight deadlines
• Passion for the beauty business
• Strong process orientation
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• BA degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts
