Your Mission:
The Order Picker is responsible for getting the right product to the right customer on time and damage free by pulling customer orders to the delivery platform in a way that meets Company standards for safety, security, and output. You are also responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all orders filled. The primary product lines you’ll oversee include our sturdy medical devices, ranging from canes to wheelchairs, in-home hospital bends and everything in between. These products are critical to the lives of our customers and you’ll be a part of the team by driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, and Service.

Main Activities

  • Ensure that a quality check is performed on all order papers.
  • Address any misprints, false quantities and closed carton orders.
  • Check merchandise in the storage area by verifying lot and item numbers.
  • Pull orders according to the RF scanner and recheck them to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect items for quality and quantity and any evidence of dust, paint or dents.
  • Ensure that any product not up to the quality mark are reported to the floor supervisor.
  • Transport pulled items from the storage area to the shipment pallet by using moving equipment.
  • Wrap or box items according to instructions provided.
  • Pull off any old or not needed stickers from boxes and make sure that they are discarded properly.
  • Check for proper safety measures while working.
  • Develop an attitude of support and participate in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Accurately follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Your Education and Experience:

    Required:

  • H. S. Diploma or equivalent
  • Read and speak English
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills, e.g. PC, MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), RF scanners
  • Able to use material movement equipment (e.g. cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.)

  • Preferred but not Required:

  • SAP or Warehouse Management System experience
  • UPS/FedEx processing/billing type of experience

  • Your Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs activities in a warehouse environment. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust.
