Job Title: Order Entry Administrator

Department: Planning/Order Entry

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Hourly/Non-exempt

Purpose of this Position

The primary function of this position is to support the organizations front-end operations by entering orders into an MRP system. Orders are entered into the system, travelers created, and then sent to the corresponding test labs. Work is to be performed in accordance with established procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enter orders into our MRP system accurately and efficiently Assemble outgoing job travelers Review and assign due dates into MRP system Communicate Planning and Receiving issues to support continuous improvement Comply with all safety standards Perform other duties if necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not supervise staff

Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to type 45 WPM accurately and efficiently, have good organizational skills, and be hardworking and conscientious. Each job duty must be performed satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience

High school education or GED required

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, purchase order instructions, customer testing and specifications. Ability to communicate and complete standard forms as necessary and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic math functions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems in terms of calculating due dates based on required testing. Capable of dealing with and understanding a variety of purchase order formats.

Physical Demands Frequency of required physical force: Occasional (moderate). Lifting requirements: lifting < 50 lbs Work is performed mainly indoors

Other Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Availability to work overtime as needed on a daily basis as well as some weekends. Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities. Oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs. Good interpersonal skills that foster open communication built on mutual respect.
