Oracle WebLogic Fusion Middleware Engineer

The individual shall conduct adaptive and preventive maintenance middleware solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Advise on WebLogic/Middleware issues which are outside of Oracle support due to customization or other needs. Carryout transition and migration Oracle Application Server 10g and legacy WebLogic versions to latest WebLogic/Fusion Middleware platform.
Analyze SOA services to provide improved reliability and availability of web service functions. Work on project teams to install and maintain a variety of middleware products.

Duties and responsibilities are including but not limited to:

Provide technical assistance to the government in the continued sustainment of the Oracle SOA

Application and integrated environment to include defining system scope, objectives, contents, and Accessibility.

Advise the government on the operation, installation, version upgrades, and maintenance of the SOA environment.

Program design, code, test, debug, and create appropriate documentation needed for the Oracle SOA application.

Work with the customer to determine data storage and access requirements and to be able to evaluate and recommend Oracle Systems WebLogic and AquaLogic products to support user requirements.

Implementation of database procedure and process recommendations based on ever-changing best industry practices supporting the application and/or facilitating database operations within the USMEPCOM Enterprise network.

Design and implement documents to USMEPCOM, including Peer Code Review documentation.

Redesign scripts and maintain records for USMEPCOM (SOA) to ensure system availability and supportability to serve as a viable platform for USMEPCOM Accessions Processing Systems.

Test and maintain the operational environment including environment parameters, quotas, and access permissions and systems interoperability.

Provide on-going sustainment support for e-SOA, e-Records and Adobe to include emergency response to production environment issues and other activities to ensure the smooth operation and modification of these applications.

Document the work effort required for SOA maintenance and associated results in the monthly summary reports.

Prepare detailed development requirement and specifications for program. Develop and maintain SOA training and integration support.

Provide user and technical training to government personnel, provide input for necessary Info Messages to MEPS when necessary, white papers for any issues and analyses of alternatives.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Oracle Fusion Middleware on WebLogic Server – System Certified Computing Environment Certification

Oracle Fusion Middleware on WebLogic Server – Web Servers Certified Computing Environment Certification

Oracle Fusion Middleware on WebLogic Server – Identity and Access Management Certified

5+ years’ experience with Oracle WebLogic/Fusion Middleware Engineering Support.

IAT level II (I.e. security + ce, CCNA-Security etc..) or equivalent and higher

U.s. citizenship with ability to pass a government background check


DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior DoD or Army working environment experience a plus
Experience/certification in one or more of the following services
5+ years of experience in Oracle WebLogic Server 12c
Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator or Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator
Technical degree relevant to position description
Knowledge of IA controls
Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
Experience with Army IT Systems
Relocation assistance available
