Oracle Financials Techno / Functional Business Systems Analyst

Our client, based near Boston, has the following opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who is skilled in Oracle ERP/Financials as they integrate with Banking. This will be a 6-12 month assignment

Responsibilities:

• Tasked with activities that involve analysis, design, testing and delivery of Oracle ERP or Web solutions for the Finance and Global Support functions.
• Demonstrate business process specific knowledge and comprehension of best practices.
• Prepare and manage key project deliverables such as project plans, steering committee presentations, project charter, and status updates (email / PowerPoint).
• Schedule, attend, and run meetings with business or multiple business groups and documents moderately complex to complex business processes with minimal guidance.
• Analyze the current business processes to proactively identify problems, complexities, non-value-added steps, and inefficient workflows that could be improved.
• Partner with assigned business areas to understand and prioritize needs, and translate business requirements into systems solutions. Lead team in analysis of business process and procedures to optimize and address pain points.
• Research implementation alternatives and provide design recommendations to both user community and technical team.
• Responsible for testing of new applications, interfaces and reports as well as enhancements to existing applications, interfaces and reports. Follow organization process for capturing and storing test results. Facilitate system testing and UAT.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree and related work experience.
• Understanding of financial business processes (quote to cash, fulfillment, billing, rev rec, and license fulfillment.
• Familiar with Agile Methodology.
• Can write and groom stories for successful development and confirm acceptance criteria.
• Knowledgeable about Oracle Accounts Receivable system implementation for invoice consolidation.
• Knowledgeable about Banking platforms for Accounts Receivable cash application and Accounts Payable Payment processing.
• Need experience with AR, Cash Applications, Order Cash and Banking
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels and areas of the organization, including IT Management, international team members, technical, and non-technical associates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to facilitate discussions, provide updates, and highlight areas of project risk/associated mitigation plans.
• Experience facilitating system testing and UAT.
• Must be a self-starter, who can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across various business functions such as Finance, Global Support, Sales/Marketing, IT, Technical Support and Product Development to collaborate on achieving project objectives.
• Prior Project experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Architectural understanding of ERP, Force.com platform, and web technologies.
• Comprehension of integration techniques and web services (REST and SOAP).
