Oracle Finance Business Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Software Business Analyst. The position supports Finance, Accounts Payable, Materials Management and other related departments. The role will work with a team of analysts and application architects to develop and implement integrated solutions across these functions leveraging the PeopleSoft ERP solution. The position will serve as advocate for user constituents and promote acceptance of new processes and systems. The position will identify high level business and information system requirements, and evaluate functionality and develop strategies. The position will also negotiate resolutions of conflicting requirements and will recommend business process changes where applicable. This position will have knowledge of external trends and best practices.

The position would also function as an analyst responsible for day-to-day support of functionality for all modules. The position would act as a functional resource for technology development requests, including projects, enhancements, upgrades, bundles/patches; break fixes, and related areas within the modules. The position will also monitor production support ticket queues. The position would understand data structures and be able to effectively solve complex issues and generate queries.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrates broad solution knowledge

Develops and maintains solution expertise

Serves as the onsite point of contact for issue resolution and triage for supported applications

Responds to client inquiries via telephone, email or chat sessions

Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills to facilitate discussions and decision making

Articulates the end-user requirements and proposed solutions to clarify and control expectations and achieve user acceptance of the application

Identifies, develops, and utilizes appropriate forums to solicit input and provide feedback to support the design, education, implementation, evaluation, and modification of the application

Participates in design, build and testing for application specific projects as needed

Leverages internal and external resources and tools to deliver problem identification and resolution

Maintains client relationship through direct onsite contact

Complies with standards for change control and work plans. Insures appropriate communication and documentation is completed in order to support application quality programs and application development

Works in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures

Understands their role in safeguarding corporate and client assets. Takes appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role

Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree required or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PeopleSoft ERP

1+ year of experience working with General Ledgers, Financials, or Accounting Reports

1+ year of experience with database tools, application development, or health information standards

1+ years of experience in healthcare, sciences, or information systems

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Prolonged use of a computer and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite

Ability to work on a flexible schedule and overtime and/or irregular hours when needed

Must be able to travel up to 10%

Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Lowell, MA area
