Oracle ERP Systems Analyst I

Position Purpose

Provide support for current Oracle ERP systems and any related systems codes as well as design and implement new program process, systems and procedures to improve system and processes of the company.

Attendance and Schedule

Consistent and regular full-time schedule is required. After hour on-call support is required per on-call rotation schedule. At times due to work load, extra hours may be required to complete the functions of the job. Weekend or week night work maybe required for system maintenance and support.

Knowledge/Skills and Experience

  • Requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 7 years programming experience in PLSQL and/or JSP and Oracle ERP applications including but not limited to order management, manufacturing and warehouse management modules.
  • Strong Oracle database and ER diagrams as well as entity relationships knowledge required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle compatible RF devices and label printing software.
  • Ability to rewrite key sections of the applications, interfaces and custom programs to fit company goals and objectives. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet required deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player and desire to learn.
  • EDI systems such as Gentran and/or AS2 knowledge and experience preferred.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work and remain focused on detail in an open office environment where other department phone and business conversations are apart of the environment.
  • Must be able sit at a PC and perform IS functions for 90% of the work day.
  • Must have good visual acuity in order perform the computer functions of the job sometimes in dimly lit or hard to get to areas in manufacturing/production.
  • Must be able to work nights and/or weekends should the need arise in order to accommodate all shifts.
  • New systems implementations may impose special time requirements for training of employees or conversion activities during non-peak hours

Essential Duties

  • Provide on-going support of Oracle ERP and its related systems.
  • Solves Company, department or individual’s Oracle ERP and Oracle related issues by recommendation new process /procedures and/or modifying/creating a new program using PLSQL and/or JSP and/or logging SR with Oracle.
  • Provides analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation, system documentation and closure to various IT projects

Other Duties

Assist the I.S. staff in some or all of the following

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) monitoring and maintenance
