Oracle EPM/Hyperion Developer

Job Summary:

Acting in a developer role, support project delivery related to the Oracle EPM applications used at TJX, which includes Hyperion Planning, DRM, Essbase (BSO and ASO), FRStudio, HFM and FDMEE. Work with the project team to define user requirements related to enhancements and bug fixes, then design, implement and present the solutions for testing and migration. Assist in the future expansion of the system by participating in requirements gathering sessions, collaborating on design, then building the required system components. Additionally, support projects related to Oracle EBS by developing PL/SQL extracts and implementing other configuration updates. For certain projects, interact with third party consulting partners to design and implement solutions. In this entry-level role, the Developer I will work under the guidance of a more senior developer on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform coding and/or configuration changes to enhance and maintain the existing Oracle EPM / Hyperion applications, including Planning, DRM, Essbase (BSO and ASO), FRStudio and HFM.
  • Perform coding and/or configuration changes to enhance and maintain the existing Oracle GL and Fixed Assets applications.
  • Responsible for creating well-designed scripts, forms, reports, menus, formulas, variables, mappings, hierarchies, and other system components.
  • Perform analysis and review of existing code.
  • Develop and execute unit testing on new and modified code and/or configuration changes.
  • Participate in the design and testing of data and metadata integrations.
  • Actively participate in the TJX SDLC by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with secure coding and source control procedures.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions related to future the expansion of the Hyperion budget application
  • Assist with the review of Technical Design and preparation of Detailed Technical Specifications
  • Consult on estimates
  • Take action to troubleshoot issues. Act as an escalation point for the operational support team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other related technical field
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with one or more applications within the Oracle EPM Application Suite, including Essbase (BSO and ASO), Planning, EPMA, FRStudio, SmartView, HFM, FDMEE and DRM.
  • Experience with Oracle GL, Oracle Fixed Assets and PL/SQL a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Systems and business concepts related to one or more of the following areas a plus: Budgeting, Financial Accounting, Retail Accounting or Tax.
  • Strong system modeling and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of or experience with multi-dimensional applications and metadata design.
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate with both technical and business (Finance) teams.
  • Requires thorough understanding of systems development life cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
  • Knowledge of testing concepts and debugging tools.
  • Ability to collaborate within the project team, as well as with business partners and other IT support teams.
