BASIC PURPOSE: This is a position for the technical personnel providing support and development on Oracle R12 Financials and Kofax/Markview. The candidate will interface with our third party managed service provider in the support of Oracle Financials and Kofax/Markview, and will also work closely with other functional consultants in the department.

Primary responsibilities include bridging any gap between the implementation team and third party support provider for all the technical developments and changes to existing solutions. Review the technical designs, technical development for the new processes or changes to the existing solutions. Monitor and review break fix change requests in progress. Take part in incident management meetings, OpCo meetings and weekly status meetings. Monitor change requests to ensure they are processed in a timely manner.

Secondary responsibilities include review of Oracle SRs for timely and complete information sharing as well as acceptable follow up with Oracle and other third party solutions. Follow patch reviews to completion and incident resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical and functional support and development on various components in Oracle eBS R12 Financials modules and Kofax/Markview and is responsible for the following activities:

  • Bridge any gap between the implementation team and third party support provider and do a knowledge transition, if needed;
  • Development of custom components/solutions(forms, reports, interfaces, personalization, workflows, extensions, etc) in Oracle R12 financials modules
  • Development of custom components/solutions in Kofax/Markview
  • Develop and review the technical and functional design documents;
  • Code development , modifications and break-fix following our design standards and change process
  • Review code delivered by the third party support provider and ensures it is as per the approved design for the solutions.
  • Ensure coding standards are followed;
  • Review incidents with our third party support provider, assist in reviewing the acceptable resolution recommendations;
  • Review CRs for the changes/design proposed by the third party support provider;
  • Review code changes/development and approve to move to UAT & Production;
  • Coordination with the third party support group regarding system maintenance and projects and incidents related to them;
  • Provide functional knowledge in reviewing the configuration documents;
  • Management of Kofax/Markview support issues;
  • Liaison with Oracle Support and with third party support;
  • Manage third party support provider’s technical team;
  • Responsible for providing advice and feedback to Operating Company management regarding requested customizations and the need for customizing the system rather than altering processes;
  • Provide queries and necessary documentation as required for audit review purposes.
  • Monitor Third Party staff training where needed;
  • Review Knowledge Articles submitted by third party support group;
  • Review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and provide feedback;
  • Provide inputs for monthly report providing a status of all Incidents, CRs deployed, highlights on performance improvements, new features deployed;
  • Review any new tool /application that may fit in Carnival supported applications. Ensure we have the right talent to support the new tool/application;
  • Ensure transition is smooth for any new tool/application coming to support team;
  • Analyze any changes in Organization that may impact the solutions/configurations;
  • Assist the team for any RPC patch sets that are released by Oracle and plan its deployment in various instances.
  • Follow change management process established;
  • Assist in reviewing and updating (annually) Processes and Procedures for third party service provider for support activities;

Education: A bachelor degree in Information Systems is required.

Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 7 years overall experience in Oracle ERP systems in both the functional and technical areas with specific emphasis in the following:

  • Technical expertise in RICE components, workflows, personalization
  • Technical expertise in programming languages PL, SQL, Java, APEX, etc.
  • Technical expertise in APEX 5.0 a plus
  • Functional expertise required on Oracle R12 eBS financials modules – AP, AR, GL, SLA, eBTax, AME, PO, FA, CE, iProc, iExp
  • Technical and functional expertise required on Kofax/Markview;
  • OBIEE experience is a plus;
  • Third party management:
  • Customer support;
  • Familiarity with Oracle’s metalink support process;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The candidate will be a consultant with the following expertise and attributes:

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance/System Administration;
  • Experience in Oracle R12 eBS Applications and System Support ;
  • Technical and functional expertise in Kofax/Markview;
  • Experience working with a third party provider;
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with different technical and functional teams to understand the business needs and communicate with the developer;
  • Good communication and organizational skills, work well on a team, and have the ability to work with all levels of management in offices across the globe;
  • Leadership experience with at least 5 years of demonstrated significant accomplishments in the support of financial systems technology;
  • Ability to communicate confidently and build meaningful internal and external relationships;
  • Possess a global perspective and be comfortable working with executives with diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • Possess strong organization skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Proven track record in preparing and effectively delivering presentations.
