Description
Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

Provide Oracle Development in support of the development and maintenance of Navy training systems.

The ideal candidate for this position will have analysis and programming experience with Oracle development tools, including Oracle Forms, Reports, Discoverer and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting database components, including tables, views, packages, procedures and functions written in Oracle PL/SQL.

Qualifications
BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience

– Extensive experience using Oracle SQL and PL/SQ.
– Strong problem solving, analytical thinking and analysis skills.

– Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills who works well on teams as well as independently.

Required certification(s): Intermediate/Journeyman level IAW DoD 8140 CSWF Specialty Area 62

Nice to have skills: Experience with UNIX, TOAD, Oracle Forms, Discoverer and OBIEE, Familiarity with CeTARS or other Navy training systems.
