Oracle Database Developer: SQL

*6 month contract to hire position*

The Oracle DBA/Interface Developer is responsible to provide support for our ERP (Deltek Costpoint & related products) application landscape which relies on an Oracle database.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD office

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oracle DBA duties including the performing checks of Oracle databases in AWS RDS environment, checking and validating, backups, performing crash recovery tests and performance tuning.

2. Making sure all the systems and their interfaces are error free and supporting the end users for any production issues.

3. May be asked to design interfaces, reports and systems based on specifications given by the vendor or internal resources.

4. Experience with various tools, such as SQL*Loader, SQL Developer (and/or PL SQL Developer) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

5. SQL DB skills, Windows Terminal Server, and Java

6. May be asked to design new databases for the applications and support them

Job Qualifications:

1. A minimum Bachelor Degree in computer engineering, computer security or computer science discipline.

2. 7-10 years of Oracle DBA & Programming related experience

3. Strong understanding of data architecture flows; primarily in an Oracle environment

Pay Rate $77.00 per hour
