OPS Scribe – Orthopaedics/Rehab

Scribe Duties:
Works directly with physicians in the clinic

Responsible for gathering information prior to the patient’s visit and partnering with the physician to deliver efficient patient care.

Accompanying the physician to see each patient and recording pertinent medical history, physical exam findings, diagnostic test results, assessments and plans into the EMR found by the physician.

Responsible for handling documentation in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during patient encounters in the clinic.

Advertised Salary:
$12 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
Worked in a healthcare environment

Medical terminology, preferred

Type a minimum of 35 cwpm

ABILITIES

Ability to multitask

Ability to prioritize own work and proceed with minimum supervision

Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times and function in a team environment

Ability to problem solve

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrate ease with learning new programs

Maintains strict confidentiality at all times. Must follow all UF and FGP HIPAA and Confidentiality polices.

Interacts professionally with the public in a sensitive and professional manner; screens requests and materials effectively and efficiently; and readily handles a variety of situations

Articulate; has a good command of the English language

Punctual; maintains an excellent attendance record

Highly organized

Consistently demonstrates personal initiative

Displays interest in the overall well-being of the health system

Takes initiative to assist whenever possible in the success of the institution
