Operations Manager

Overview:
Zoot provides comprehensive, robust, and flexible credit decisioning, loan origination, and credit risk management solutions to fit our clients’ unique initiatives. We improve performance for innovative financial institutions through a reliable, secure, and scalable ASP environment, accounting for hundreds of millions of credit transactions each year.

The Operations Manager and Systems, Network, and Database Administrators make up the IT Operations group. The Group focuses on administering Zoot’s production systems and designing and implementing any expansion of the infrastructure. The Operations Manager position ensures that the IT Operations group effectively and dependably executes on the daily requests from the organization. The position will define the processes to organize and prioritize the incoming work and regularly communicate the status of the efforts to the stakeholders.

The Operations Manager position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities. Occasional nighttime and weekend work is required within the position.

Job Functions:
Work with technical leads in the IT organization to execute daily workflow and tasks while balancing work for strategic infrastructure efforts.

Help define and improve processes governing the workflow of IT Operations.

Define metrics to measure throughput, improvement, customer service, and other key performance metrics for IT Operations.

Assist in staffing analysis.

Manage and coordinate IT maintenance efforts.

Help prioritize and analyze the business value of internal initiatives.

Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events for initiating mitigating action.

Be adaptable and flexible, including the ability to manage deadlines under pressure, ambiguity, and change.

Promote a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering high-quality products and services to internal and external clients.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:
Four Year College Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering/Operations, Business, Finance or related field.

Plus 8-10 years of experience in an IT Operations role, Project Management, or similar.
