Operations Manager

Ida-Ore Zeolite, llc is a mineral mining, processing, and sales company. We are seeking a dynamic employee who can be responsible for maintaining smooth, efficient and quality operation of the mineral mining, processing, logistics, and customer communication. This role will require the ability to shift priorities as necessary and compartmentalize projects to meet deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.

Stay current on conditional use permits for the mine-site. Keep MSHA documents and materials in order and submit quarterly reports. Submit quarterly reports for feed additive and soil amendment to Department of Agriculture. Keep current spec sheets, ISDA labels, organic certifications, SDS sheets, vendor forms, customer forms and other required information.

Track hours of runtime, inventory levels, products produced, and in progress. Track this information to determine highest efficiency levels possible at the production facility. Knowledge of lean production and the various production methodologies a plus. Maintain inventory levels of product, manufacturing supplies, finished goods, and work in progress.

Set forth plans for production plant upgrades/modifications/changes: Determine required needs, collect required information and pricing from potential vendors to complete the job in its entirety. Gather information required to communicate this process to the owners and allow for their feedback and input. Prepare for possible levels of presentation of these materials. ie: pictures, measurements, specs, pricing, discounts, vendor options, vendor pros/cons, lead times.

Accept purchase orders, create work orders based on those PO’s, verify inventory levels of required products to complete the orders, verify quality control and timing of product completion and shipment, set up and facilitate shipment. Verify accounting has properly setup and timely sent out invoice.

Bid out freight shipments, determine best shipment options, create provided documentation, and coordinate between trucking companies and production to ship out sold material correctly and on time.

Maintain vendors list for all necessary supplies.

Work with accounting to generate monthly and quarterly reporting of sales by item and customer to reconcile tonnage and cash for each month, run numbers through break even analysis to determine monthly profitability. Set goals and forecasting from these numbers.

Assist with mining plan. Facilitate lodging, per diem, fuel, maintenance, repairs, and safety requirements per cfr 30 parts 1-199. Track of tonnage processed and be prepared to submit tonnage and storage locations internally as required and to MSHA quarterly submission.

This job may also require marketing and sales efforts as we work as a team to accomplish our goals:

• Create and implement strategies for entering and pursuing sales into chosen markets.
• Seek out and pursue sales into these various markets.
• Background research on Zeolite mineral and content or marketing creation based on that research.
• Suggest possible uses and mesh sizes to sales leads.
• Overcome hurdles and roadblocks that block the sales channel
• Utilize Salesforce to keep current leads fresh and up to date.
• Work with sales team to provide necessary information to sales leads.
• Attends sales meetings and tradeshows.
• Handle and push through sales funnel as necessary inbound phone calls and email from websites.
• Continuously create content and build seo for websites and update via WordPress.
• Create both print and digital marketing materials as necessary.
• Onboard and maintain products to mix of online sales channels

Requirements

• Mastery of MS Office, especially excel
• Familiarity of Adobe CS
• Able to create standard processes from scratch
• Knowledge of lean production systems
• Knowledge of low voltage power systems up to 480V a plus
• Heavy equipment experience a plus
• Operations experience or willingness to learn
• Marketing experience or willingness to learn
• Open to multiple projects from multiple angles

Minimum Qualifications

• Current valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Able to use a computer effectively

Physical Requirements:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
