Operations Manager

Job Overview

The purpose of this position is to manage and optimize the flow and quality of beer between the production environment and distribution of product. The Operations Manager employs strong organizational tactics and project management tools to ensure appropriate inventory levels and provides logistical support to execute outgoing orders. Reporting to the CEO, this position interfaces with all internal departments as well as suppliers, wholesalers, vendors and purveyors at every level.

General Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee logistics and warehouse teams to ensure strong performance of their roles and responsibilities. Monitor the performance of the Operations Department by developing and maintaining a system of reports and communications aimed at optimizing fresh product availability and executing sales orders. Delegate project assignments and workloads appropriately and follow up on work results
  • Oversee existing processes and procedures to ensure that beer is produced in alignment with sales trends/forecasting in a way that maximizes fresh product availability and minimizes inventory overages
  • Manage and control inventory of finished goods using best practices and maximizing warehouse efficiency
  • Manage beer release schedule to ensure timely release of seasonal/rotational beers
  • Work effectively with other departments to ensure quality of product from the time beer is packaged until the time it is delivered to distributors
  • Oversee purchasing of raw materials. Develop and implement processes and procedures for purchasing to maximize profitability
  • Develop performance measures for the operations/logistics department that support the company’s strategic direction
  • Research, analyze, and implement operational best practices to increase profits and/or reduce risk. Implement and manage company approved operational strategies
  • Keep executive management informed at all times of any risk issues and their status
  • Manage fiscal spending within approved budgetary limits
  • Protect Mother Earth’s value by keeping all sales and financial information confidential at all times
  • Acknowledge and comply with the Mother Earth Employee Handbook
  • Other duties as may be required or assigned by management

Requirements

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Proven industry relevant work experience as operations manager
  • In depth knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
  • Ability to coordinate multiple parties in a team environment
  • Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to company’s mission
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Office and products
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Salary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
