Operations Accounting Specialist – Dallas, TX

Our business is growing fast! It’s the result of a work environment that is highly entrepreneurial where hard work and creativity are rewarded. We are currently searching for a smart, detail-oriented Operations Accounting Specialist.

The specific responsibilities include the following:

• Perform all necessary reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, i.e. vault/teller cash, due from banks
• Reconcile all internal DDA accounts, including official checks and other bank use accounts.
• Reconcile accounts payable accounts.
• Prepare digital copies of records on a regular basis.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
• Record and maintain fixed assets and prepaid expenses as they are paid
• Assist with daily and end of month reporting procedures.
• Assist accounts payable as needed
• Complete and pass all required regulatory compliance training as assigned.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience on a core banking system. Jack Henry Silverlake is strongly preferred.
• Two to Three years’ previous bank accounting experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, reliable and accurate.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve.
• Competency in Excel is a must.
• Experience setting up new accounts in your prior bank’s core system.
