Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in North Central Phoenix is looking to fill the position of Office Coordinator. The qualified applicant must be familiar with a church environment, be detail-oriented, capable of working alone, have the ability to take the initiative to complete any tasks needed and be accountable for work completed.

The Office Coordinate will cheerfully greet visitors who come to the church office, be personable over the phone, and respond professionally to emails. The Office Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Pastor, Council Members and volunteers.

The Office Coordinator will produce, proofread and edit weekly worship bulletins, periodic newsletters, and other communications, including the website.

The Office Coordinator must be organized and will be responsible for filing, ordering office supplies, and working with outside vendors. The Office Coordinator will maintain a database of the church members (Shepherd’s Staff experience is a plus). The Office Coordinator will keep a calendar to coordinate property usage. The Office Coordinator must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

This position will be 32 hours per week. If the candidate is skilled in QuickBooks and bookkeeping, this can be a full-time position at 40 hours per week. The Office Coordinator will then also be responsible for bank deposits, bank and credit card reconciliation, expense reports and reimbursements, invoicing, collections and payroll.
