Oak Brook – Entry Level Credit Analyst

Oxford Bank & Trust has an exciting opening for a Credit Analyst at our Corporate Office located in Oak Brook, IL. Credit Analysts analyze the credit worthiness of individuals and businesses by reviewing and completing ratio & trend analysis of financial statements to determine if loan requests are eligible for financing. This is the perfect position for someone building a career in commercial banking. The Credit Department offers an all-encompassing credit experience that includes, mentoring, on the job training, and the opportunity to work closely with other analysts, Sr. Credit Officers and Commercial Lenders.

Skills/Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 2 semesters of Accounting coursework
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge of cash flow analysis, leverage & liquidity ratios
  • Exceptional writing, communication & analytical skills
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must enjoy working independently and as part of a team & consistently maintain an upbeat, positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Support the Credit Department in handling fundamental job requirements
  • Prepare loan presentations
  • Analyze personal and business financial information
  • Order and review appraisals
  • Prepare Board Reports
  • Perform varied administrative tasks (i.e. balancing borrowing base certificates, taking minutes for loan meetings and working on projects as needed
  • Attain professional training and development activities
  • Comply with Oxford Bank & Trust policies, procedures and regulatory policies
  • Complete all Bank training including all assigned Compliance online training
  • Understand and adhere to Oxford Banks’ Core Values
  • Involvement in Bank committees
  • Other duties as assigned
