NOC Analyst

Copart is seeking a NOC Analyst responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting all network and voice-related hardware, software, and communication links. In addition, the NOC Analyst’s responsibilities include managing and ensuring the stability of all network, voice, and wireless services throughout the enterprise. Knowledge of network monitoring tools, both implementation and administration. (Solarwinds, NAGIOS, HP OpenView, Netview)

Essential requirements from a NOC Analyst are the ability to work in a team, as well as individually with minimum supervision, strong documentation and communication skills, the ability to follow the procedure according to the IT policy and to maintain documentation, exceptional troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking.

The Network Operations Center supports the Copart datacenter on a 7x24x365 basis. Weekend, holiday and off-shift availability is required. Must be available for 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 4 days off.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Install and maintain network hardware, software and monitoring tools.
  • Analyze and isolate issues.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Evaluate and modify system’s performance.
  • Identify user needs.
  • Determine network and system requirements.
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
  • Design and deploy networks.
  • Perform network address assignment.
  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Bachelor’s degree (such as CS, EE and IS) in technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience of some or all of the following:
  • Network administration, LAN, WAN implementation and management
  • Windows/Unix systems management experience
  • Enterprise network troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, MPLS, EPL, etc…), and reading and creating technical documentation
  • Authentication and server hardening
  • Knowledge of Microsoft active directory, RSA, LDAP technologies a plus
  • Installation and administration of network monitoring tools
  • Desktop Support
  • Legacy systems (AS400)
  • Web Development Technology (Java, React, Angular, Ruby, etc)
  • DevOps Tools (Jenkins, Maven, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • CRM Systems
  • Mobile applications
  • SAP applications
  • Databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, etc.)
