Network Systems Engineer

Network Systems Engineer for Seattle, WA to design & implement computer and information networks, such as LAN, WAN and mobile network infrastructure; perform network modeling, analysis & planning; upgrade networking for remote offices; integrate networking with partner companies; work closely with Dev-Ops team to ensure connectivity into AWS instance; rollout Cisco hardware & new IDS solutions; research & recommend network and data communications hardware and software to enable continuing infrastructure innovation. Requires Bachelor’s degree in C.S., Computer Engineering, Information Technology or closely-related field. Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials or professional experience determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service. Position also requires 3 yrs experience conducting large-scale enterprise network design & maintenance; working directly with enterprise networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls & Cisco-based networking hardware and systems; working directly with Linux (Ubuntu), Unix, Windows & Mac operating systems; applying TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPv4 & IPv6 IP protocols; creating confederations & complex route reflector topologies using major internet protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP and ISIS; working with VPN; troubleshooting & resolving wireless infrastructure and routing issues between multiple enterprise locations; reading & interpreting network traces using Network Monitor, Wireshark, TCDUMP, NMAP or NetFlow; and designing high availability global network backbones & architecture.
