A dynamic IT Solutions company is looking for a Network Support Engineer based in the Johannesburg North to join the expanding team.

Minimum requirements:

Computer Science Degree / Diploma or equivalent.

Comptia A+ and N+ certificates.

3 – 5 years’ relevant experience.

MCSE.

MCSA.

Microsoft cloud services – Office 365.

LAN WAN.

VPN.

Firewalling.

Driver’s License.

Duties and responsibilities:

Collaborate with service providers to create optimal network design topologies and configurations to cater for each individual client.

Work with clients to identify and document required network and end user required services.

Identify the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems.

Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.

Provide information relating to customers’ hardware and software purchasing decisions.

Provide telephone, face-to-face and online support to customers.

Connect users to networks and provide initial training in facilities and applications .

Make sure users can use the equipment by providing personal tuition and self-help

Instructions.

Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plan.

Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, network peripheral devices, cabling, mobile phones, tablets and networking hardware and certain software products.

Maintain servers, including e-mail, print, active directory and backup servers and their associated operating systems and certain software.

Liaise with, and provide training and support to, Support desk staff on network issues.
