About The Role:


You will be accountable for all aspects of Information Technology provided to our clients. This position includes – but is not limited to – the design, installation, implementation, and troubleshooting of the physical network and the network operating system. Frequent after-hours work are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

You must have 7 years professional experience in the IT industry, a college degree, and some of the required Tier 3 certifications that are listed below. If you do not meet these requirements, please consider applying for our Desktop Support Technician position on our website.

Career Progression:

If hired you will start as a Tier 1 Engineer and be required to meet specific milestones to achieve the Tier 3 Engineer position within one year. The Tier 1 Engineer job functions are focused on repairing computers and printers inside and outside the CalTech office. A Tier 1 Engineer is the first line of client telephone and onsite technical support and support for the company office. Basic working knowledge of personal computers and printers required. You must complete and obtain a current A+ or Network + certification within 120 days after start of employment. Some after-hours work required in these roles. To graduate to Tier 2 you will need to obtain your CCNA. In order to reach Tier 3, you must have and maintain any one of the following: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
