Network Engineer – IP Camera and PACS Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with providing engineering guidance on new projects involving VMS and PACS systems.
• IT Infrastructure support relating to the underlying hardware and OS of VMS (Lenel Prism and Genetec) and PACS systems (Lenel OnGuard).
• Support of all devices on the network related to VMS and PACS systems – these include IP Cameras (Axis), Virtual Machines (Windows Server OS running on ESX/VMWare), PACS Controller boards (Lenel).
• Assist with organizing activities related to project roll-out – these activities range from helping manage vendor resources in the field, to helping our internal Project Management team support our efforts when adhering to ITIL processes.
• Provide L3 support for cases of extended trouble with VMS and PACS systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum 5 years of Network Engineering or Administration experience
• Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience with VMS and PACS systems in an Enterprise scale environment
• IP Networking skills – demonstrates advanced knowledge of IP Switching and Routing.
• Basic Windows Server OS knowledge required
• Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming software experience required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience with Lenel Prism, Milestone, Genetec products, and Lenel OnGuard VMS/ PACS technologies
• Advanced Windows OS knowledge
• Working knowledge of underlying Storage systems including SAN attached storage, and performance characteristics of enterprise class storage systems preferred.
