Network Cable Technician

Network Cable Technicians needed for government contracts.

Skill required:

• Install, repair and/or testing of voice, data, and audio visual infrastructures.
• Performing service calls, completing adds, moves and changes. Updating customer documentation as required.
• Keeping track of parts used, time spent at a customer’s house and repairs made.
• Professionalism and customer service to work directly with customers to be able to describe the actions being taken during repair or installation.
• Working with computers, diagnostic equipment and complex machines.
• Troubleshooting the root cause of technical issues and devise a solution for repairing it.
• Knowledge of associated hardware, equipment and specifications as they pertain to Network Topologies and/or Telecommunication Voice/Data Systems. In-Depth knowledge of termination equipment, methodologies, and splicing techniques.
• Areas of knowledge must also include: cable termination, testing, cable rack preparation, layout and installation, and documentation.
• Complete work orders, material transfer forms, and other documentation required by the company.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Technical certifications a plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year

• High school or equivalent

• Cable Management: 1 year
• Network Troubleshooting: 1 year
