Position Summary: We are seeking a .NET developer responsible for building applications using ASP.NET MVC with a focus on both front end and back-end. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.Functions and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain client websites including front and back end development, managing databases, working with design teams, setting up cloud hosting, DNS, SSL, monitoring.Develop on the ASP.NET MVC stack (including Umbraco).Ability to work with or learn web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, C#, PHP, Angular, Azure, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, Entity Framework, SQL Server, MySQL, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Online, Gulp, Grunt, Continuous IntegrationIntegrate with external systems, such as databases, payment processing systems, CRMs, email delivery and other web services.Provide troubleshooting and technical support to clients to resolve bugs, downtime, hosting or other issues.Use Git and SVN manage and collaborate on source code.Work in agile processes on small teams and individually.Ability to refactor new and existing code.Stay ahead of technology curve by following web development trends and news and prototyping new functionalities and attaining appropriate certifications.Work with client teams and internal account teams to gather requirements for tasks and projects.Recommend technical, usability, performance or process improvements that will contribute to achieving clients’ business goals.Ensure cross browser compatibility and usage on mobile devices (responsive, mobile first).Test websites and services using manual as well as automated methods.Implement on-site SEO recommendations and Google Analytics customizations.Collaborate with sales and account teams to evaluate clients’ websites to understand online goals, challenges and objectives.Provide estimates for development projects and tasks.Skills + Traits + Abilities::BS in Computer Science / Information Management Systems OR demonstration of equivalent self-taught knowledge.2+ years experience as web developer using ASP.NET.Experience in PHP a plus.Experience in digital marketing industry is a plus.Experience in agile teams is a plus.Photoshop, web design experience is a plus.Good understanding of design patterns is a plus.BenefitsIn exchange for your contributions, Marcel offers competitive salary, great benefits and a casual, laid back and fun work environment.
