.NET Developer – Hedge Fund

Im looking for a strong.NET Developer to work for a Hedge Fund in NYC –

The position will involve providing technology support to a Hedge Fund. The role will involve interaction with users (traders, operations team etc.), supporting existing applications, bug fixes etc. as well as acting as a single point of contact for offshore development team. Responsibilities include:

• Analysis and documentation of new requirements
• Development of application as per client standards
• Monitoring, Support and enhancement to existing applications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in application development using .net technology
• Development experience of at-least three .Net projects with above average complexity
• At least three projects in financial services and capital markets domain.

Desirable skills

Required Skills

• Expertise in application development using C#.NET (windows)
• Expertise in SQL Server
• Experience working in structured development environments including Continuous Integration & Test Driven Development
• Domain knowledge of capital market and trade processes
• Excellent communication skills; including written and oral. The ability to communicate with users in comprehensible terms is crucial
• Good attitude and willingness to learn and be positive
• Experience in extracting data from systems like Charles river (or any other order entry system), VPM (or any other fund accounting systems), working with custodians/ prime brokers/ fund admins
