.NET Developer

SUMMARY

A .NET developer responsible for building .NET applications using Microsoft and Web technologies and programming tools such as ASP.net MVC, C#, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and others. The primary responsibility of the developer will be to design and develop layers of our applications, while considering and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. The developer should be capable of handling many aspects of the application, including but not limited to performance, scalability, security, and testing while maintaining a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and high quality product.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :

Operates under the direct supervision of a Supervisor, manager, or Director; the Developer exercises no supervision over other employees.

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Integrate data storage solutions
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Ensure regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms (experience working with razor would be a plus)
• Proficiency in C#, VB, HTML5, CCS3, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and patterns
• General knowledge working with WebAPI (Json, routing, REST)
• General knowledge different JS frameworks and libraries such as: jQuery, AngularJS, Knockout,
• Advanced knowledge working with responsive frameworks. (i.e. Bootstrap, Foundation)
• General knowledge of working with external data sources and web services.
• Visual Studio
• Strong knowledge of .NET web framework 2.0+
• Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server: create databases, objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Indexes, Triggers, etc.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT or Team Foundation Server.
• Basic knowledge of how to work with IIS. (i.e. setting up web sites, SSL Certs, etc…)
• Quick learner. Willing to learn and work in many different areas. Desire to improve one’s skills (ability to research and self-educate).
• Hard worker with attention to detail.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education equivalent to a four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution in a closely related field or a minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience.

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have excellent interpersonal skills and possess strong computer and organizational skills.
