.Net Developer

The client is looking for a Junior .NET Developer with development experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle). The candidate will be part of a diverse team of Microsoft .NET applications developers working on a wide variety of new and continued project work to support the agency in its mission. Work includes modernization of VB.NET, Classic ASP, and Microsoft Access database applications to C# ASP.NET MVC applications.

The candidate should have diverse experience in the development process including experience in UI/UX design technologies such as: HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, and JQuery. Development experience utilizing Visual Studio 2013 or newer is required. Experience managing work items and source code in TFS/VSTS is also preferred. The ideal candidate would also have familiarity with Oracle Data Provider (ODP.NET). Previous experience working in an agile/SCRUM environment is also preferred.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Codes enhancements, fixes, develops, and tests new software using the functional and technical programming standards.
⿢
Develop these enhancements or features using: C#, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, XML, CSS and Visual Studio 2013/2015/2017.

Participates in structured code reviews / walkthroughs.
⿢
Executes all required process steps.
⿢
Creates and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
⿢
Utilizes configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.

Work in an agile and diverse team environment.
⿢
Manage and complete assigned tasks in TFS/VSTS.

Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
