Job Description:

As a .Net/C# – Application Developer, you will work closely with the business and application development teams to design and build technology solutions, initiatives and ongoing enhancements for Mortgage Banking Credit Risk Management. In this role, you will create logical designs, describe the deployment of the designs on a physical platform, translate logical designs into systems artifacts, recognize alternatives and propose choices throughout the creation of the logical and physical design including methodologies. Expectations include significant application design and development experience, strong architecture skills, proven background in coordinating design and development activities across various teams, strong knowledge of .NET and Object Oriented concepts and a good understanding of risk management & application security. Plans, builds, tests and implements source code and solutions. Assists with problem analysis, reports findings, and recommends solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the AD Architects and IT BAs during the technical analysis, design, and build process.
  
• Creates solution software code, tests, implementation plans and system documentation.
  
• Providing Code reviews and Technical Design Documents reviews.
  
• Ensure standards are met in code design, development and deployment.
  
• Be responsible for responding to and resolving any defects found during testing.
  
• Must have the ability to influence, guide and mentor other technical resources (and sometimes business) across the teams and especially develop other architects or enlist others to carry out best practices of architecture in the course of their developing solutions.
  
• Previous execution experience of mid-sized to large system design, development and deployment is a real plus.
  
• Very knowledgeable about best practices, industry standards, emerging trends.
  
• Drive improvements in the development process in particular and support improvements in the overall software development life-cycle particularly the estimation process.
  
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile SDLC is must. Any experience in transforming teams from Waterfall to Agile is a plus.
  
• Determines implementation approach for new and existing business solutions.
  
• Provides technical support and technical advice regarding software implementation to users and business analysts.
  
• Works with applications related to the overall IT system, such as disk maintenance, system startup, operational software packages, and configuration and user access procedures.
  
• Some on-call support may be expected.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in equivalent field.
• 6+ years of .NET/C# development experience
• 6+ years’ experience designing and developing web applications, utilizing ASP.NET, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML/CSS jQuery, MVC Framework
• 5 + years of object oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced Microsoft patterns and practices
• 5 + years of Sybase/SQL Server application development and very strong database design skills
• Intermediate experience with developing Oracle solutions required.
• Experience designing and developing web services required.
• Experience in developing windows services based or any other service based multiple threaded applications required
• Experience with Unit Testing framework such as NUnit is a must
• SVN – Strong experience working with an SCM tool like Subversion
• Experience in IBM MQ based messaging solution is a plus.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and skills remediating code with vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and OS configuration highly desired.
• Agile experience is a must
